![]() My meal was only $10 altogether so that was a plus as well. They were a little wetter and more moist then plantains you'll typically get but I enjoyed them nevertheless. The chipotle complimented my meal the best, I'd definitely get it next time and I'll probably try to Rico's spicy sauce. The Cilantro was a good sauce but I used it to dip food from another dish I got from somewhere else. I enjoyed the chipotle with my meal, but the others didn't really compliment my bowl as much. I opted for the Cilantro, Mango, and Chipotle. To finish it off you're able to get a couple sauces to complete your meal. Nevertheless I enjoyed my meal because I never ate Cuban food served this way. This would be my number one suggestion to them. Much less marinated or anything of that sort. ![]() I don't even think they sprinkled salt and pepper on my chicken lol. I loved the idea, and it was decent, however albeit they delivered in variety and quality, they lacked severely in seasoning. I also ordered Plantains to eat in addition to my meal I decided on Chicken, yellow rice, red beans, mango pico de gallo, sour cream, mozzarella, and roasted corn but there were several other options I would have liked to try ( you can only pick 4). Everything looked good but I decided to follow my chipotle mold and build a bowl. They follow the chipotle mold, and you can get a variety of Bowls, Street FLOUR tacos, and burritos. They had a variety of options, which really impressed me. When describing Rico Tropical Grill… think Cuban Chipotle. I was working in the Kennesaw area, and decided to try something new (as I often do) and ran across Rico. I like the idea, and the aesthetic a lot. Can't think of a negative thing to say about this place, it's all good! Charlotte V. Really like the yucca fries, pandebon, guava cream cheese empanada, and both types of agua fresca (I usually get them mixed together!), and I love the selection of sauces. Have also tried the BYO tostone, chicken arepa, steak sandwich, and everything is truly excellent. The ropa vieja is so juicy and flavorful, and i love the creamy well-seasoned black beans and sweet maduros, it's such a good combination. However, I'm not one to find one menu item and stick to it no matter how much I like it, so I've tried several other things since. Tender meat, moist and juicy, hot and melty. This one is honestly as good, maybe even better. ![]() The first thing I tried was the Cuban sandwich, and I had been to Miami about a month previously and tasted what I thought was the best Cubano I'd ever had. This is hands-down my favorite quick-service type restaurant anywhere, and truthfully, I'd probably pick it over a lot of sit-down places too. Go to Rico as quickly as you can! Support small business. Today I chose among coffee flan, guava flan, or regular flan, all swimming in a generous amount of the delicious caramelly liquid. ![]() You can also get arepas or pressed sandwiches, and their kids' menu offers lots of yummy options too. ![]() I'm so glad I didn't make any changes to this perfect dish. I asked the owner whether or not I should keep the egg, and he recommended it. Served over white rice and black beans, the tenderloin was cooked perfectly and topped the rice/beans along with a perfectly fried egg, sliced ripe avocado, and crispy plantains. I started with a guava and cream cheese empanada, which was perfection in a flaky crust, and had the Latin bowl as my main meal. You can also choose from among the specialties, and that's what I did today. Today I visited Rico after much too long, and I want you to go as soon as you can! This family-run business serves delicious food from mahi or shrimp to tenderloin to chicken or pork, in bowls, tacos, salads, whatever you choose to combine. ![]()
